Oil in the Lamp...

Mornings... The dawn... The beautiful warm sun rays. After the dark night! A wonderful gift to our lives!
We open up our eyes…We pray….

We welcome the new day with all the good hopes and well wishes. Adoring our smile is!

More often of whatever the culture or religious custom one follows, one bows to the almighty. ‘Being grateful’ the gesture is all about! Some offer flowers, some light up the candle while some light up the lamps. But... Why so? Is it the ritual or traditions of the family? Or one follows them from within for this!

It is all about hopes and feelings. We wish to part our day on a healthy and happy note. About the success we strive for. Our persistent efforts and hard work we bestow for the better being and successful day. Some do it for themselves, some for their partners, their kids or their families!  But we do! We often see our grandparents, our parents or sometimes ourselves, adding oil in the lamp. To keep it lit. So the rays of good hopes and happiness don’t part from us. So that we are not deprived of happiness, goodness and gratefulness! That oil in that lamp is the hope we keep on adding day and night. So the flame is lit continuously. It should shine bright and healthy. It keeps us motivated and focused. It maintains the aura in our house. It doesn't allow the darkness approach us or our place. It keeps enlightening our lives with its light. It is the ‘Hope’ we hold as a power to fulfill our desires and overcome the evil thoughts. It is the ‘Hope’ which supports us during the disappointments. It gives us the strength to get up and move ahead. It enforces us to fight again and be victorious. It is our ’Hope’ which empowers up over a disheartened life. It is nothing but ‘Hope’ that makes one realize about the goals of life. It helps keep our vision clear. ‘Hope’ keeps gratefulness alive. No doubt it shakes during the wind, but strives to keep standing still with the same brightness. It evokes the fire within to keep fighting against the odds and be an ultimate winner.  It helps to be proud and keep up the good name amongst the crowd.

Hope is all about trust, about one’s own nature to keep happiness and gratefulness alive amidst the unsung phrases of life.
